System Administrator's Guide

The System Administrator Guide describes CLS’s configuration and table structures. The intended audience includes system administrators and anyone developing custom solutions to complement CLS LIMS. Note that some features may not be available to you based on your laboratory’s licensed options.

New system administration features for v2023.1 include the elimination of VPN requirements for cloud-hosted systems, auditing of viewing patient data, export and import of LabOnline configuration across systems, additional configuration options for LabOnline features, new role permissions, and new report and datawriter capabilities.

CLS University is a curriculum of self-contained training modules delivered via an online Learning Management System. Courses are made up of lessons, each of which is a video that is between 15-45 minutes in length, and can be started/stopped/replayed by the student. There are accompanying tests and exercises to help reinforce the course content. Courses currently available include ‘System Administration 1’, ‘System Administration 2’ and ‘Report Writing’.
